Twelve years of not being the MVD line
Overview
Arizona Motor Vehicle Express, LLC started trading on 21 February 2014 and has been running the same counter on Thornydale Road ever since. The office is an Authorized Third Party provider for the Arizona Department of Transportation, which means ADOT lets us run most of the transactions a state MVD office runs. We are listed by name in ADOT’s own directory of authorized providers, and that listing is the thing worth checking if you want to know whether a third party is real.
What that authorization buys a customer is straightforward. We can open on Saturdays. We can stay open until 5:30 on weekdays. We can open on minor holidays when state offices are shut. And because there is one office and a short queue rather than a regional one, a visit here runs about twenty minutes, which is Google’s own figure for how long people spend in the building.
It is a family owned and operated business. Patricia Quintero is the owner. The staff you meet at the counter are the same people week to week, which is why so many of the reviews name them: Jeff on a salvage title, Audrey on the paperwork behind it, Arizbey at the front.
What we are, and what we are not
We are not the MVD. We are a private company the state authorizes to do MVD work. The practical difference is a convenience fee, charged on top of the state fee, and that fee is the whole reason we can be open at a time that suits you. It is also the thing worth knowing before you arrive, so we say it here, on the comparison page, and on the homepage rather than burying it.
There are a few things a third party cannot do at all. Level 2 and Level 3 vehicle inspections are done only by appointment at ADOT inspection locations. Commercial driver licenses are outside our scope. We will tell you that on the phone rather than after you have driven out.

On the west side of Thornydale just north of Ina. From I-10 it is about a minute off the Cortaro exit. Costco and Topgolf are the nearest landmarks, and there is a Smart Start ignition interlock office in the same suite number, so look for our sign rather than the door number.
